Ben McIntyre School has
been sectioned off due to the drop in student population. There is currently
access to 4 classrooms and a library.

Uranium City, located at the northernmost part of Saskatchewan, was once a bustling mining community. On the north shore of Lake Athabaska, Uranium City now has a population of 200 people. The hospital, local services and airport are the main employers in the community. The townspeople still maintain a curling rink and ice rink and there are numerous community activities for such a small community. There are scheduled daily flights into the community from Stony Rapids. |
