Cole Bay School currently has and enrolment of 40 students. There is a gym, industrial arts shop and four classrooms. The two teachers rent teacherages provided by the board. The school is situated on the very shoreline of the lake. Cross-country skiing and floor hockey are popular pastimes for students and community members alike. This is truly a lovely little school, only 15 kms from her twin school of Jans Bay, which is on the same lake, but situated in a equally picturesque bay.
