Bear Creek - Sasdaze
School
A small settlement located
on the highway between Buffalo Narrows and La Loche. Sasdaze School,
which opened in 2003, is one of the few one-room schools in the province. The
settlement is named after a small creek near the community. The school name
of Sasdaze also means “bear
creek” in Dene. Students enjoy hiking and cross country skiing
in the winter months.
