Timber Bay School is a small, K-9 school with approximately 33 students. This is a full-time, continuing position to commence August 2010 and is an administrative position with multi-grade teaching duties for Grades 5 to 9.
Salary is according to the provincial grid plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing, a principal’s allowance and a northern living allowance.

The Northern Lights School Division #113 is calling for the contract services for part-time Physiotherapy services of a qualified Physiotherapist. The services would begin as soon as possible, have flexible days and involve extensive travel to various schools within the school division.
Northern Lights School Division #113 is a provincial school system serving a predominantly aboriginal school population located throughout the northern geographical half of Saskatchewan.

The Northern Lights School Division #113 invites applications for anticipated teacher position vacancies in the fall of 2010. In addition to general classroom teacher positions, the division expects that there will be openings in school administrative positions and specialty areas such as home economics, industrial arts, special education/resource room, physical education, French Immersion, secondary math/science and computer instruction.
The division offers a full range of educational programming in over 20 communities throughout northern Saskatchewan. All schools in the division have been designated as community schools.
In addition to the Saskatchewan teachers' salary grid, the division offers a northern allowance, subsidized utility rates, a moving allowance and subsidized furnished housing which the division staff maintains. A housing subsidy is provided to teaching staff who supply their own housing. Travel assistance is available to applicants invited to communities in the division for an interview.
Teachers who are eligible for certification in Saskatchewan are invited to submit a resume complete with transcripts, current evaluation reports, the name of three current references and a criminal record check to the Human Resource Officer.

Northern Lights School Division No. 113 requires a talented, ambitious and self-motivated journeyperson carpenter for residential and commercial buildings; must work independently and with other team members; must be trustworthy, have good finishing carpentry skills; must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
This position is a permanent full-time position based in Beauval, Saskatchewan. Must be willing to travel to various locations.
The successful candidate will be required to perform scheduled and emergency repairs at schools and housing units.
Candidates must have Saskatchewan journeyperson carpentry ticket, and be able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision.

These are permanent full-time positions, one based in Beauval, Saskatchewan, and the other based in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Must be willing to travel to various locations.
The successful candidate will be required to perform scheduled and emergency repairs at schools and housing units.
Candidates must have Saskatchewan journeyperson plumbing status with a commercial gas endorsement, and be able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision. Knowledge of oil burner systems and hydronic heating systems would be an asset.

LOCAL MAINTENANCE WORKER

This is a permanent full-time position. Applicants must live in, or be willing to relocate to La Loche. Deadline for applications is March 12, 2010.
The successful applicant should possess the skills and knowledge to perform the following tasks:
- organize and perform scheduled and emergency maintenance at schools and teacherages.
- prepare material lists and order supplies.
- maintain and store supplies, tools and equipment.
- maintain a clean and organized workshop/storage area.
- communicate with tenants and teachers and supervisors.
- assist with school and teacherage inspections.
- maintain oil fired heating equipment (training available).
- work in a variety of trade areas.
- submit weekly and monthly labour and attendance reports.
- perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Candidates will be expected to work effectively as part of a maintenance team with a minimum of supervision. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

DRIVER EDUCATION

Northern Lights School Division #113 is calling for proposals to provide a Driver Education program that meets the requirements of the Education Act, 1995 and the Education Regulations.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- being a qualified drivers education instructor,
- working with school staff and administration in offering and selecting students to take the drivers education program,
- developing a program for instruction and make provision for materials and assessment of students,
- making provision for 30 hours of in class drivers education instruction by qualified teachers,
- making arrangements for all required testing of students,
- providing a vehicle for drivers education instruction and the required six hours of lessons for each registered student.
The communities that require instruction are La Loche, Buffalo Narrows and Beauval.
