![]() 2005-2008 Teachers' Local Agreement |
The local collective bargaining agreement with the school board must include such items as sabbatical, educational and professional leave provisions, substitute teachers' pay, special allowances, pay periods, the term of the agreement, and may include negotiated provisions addressing teacher working conditions not already included in provincial bargaining. |
![]() Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement |
The Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement includes such items as salaries, principals' and vice-principals' allowances, sick leave, grievance procedures, and negotiated benefit plans for Saskatchewan teachers. The salary schedule is based upon the academic and professional preparation and experience of the teacher. The onus is on the teacher to inform the school board and provide evidence of any previous teaching experience at the time the contract is signed in order to obtain incremental credit for applicable teaching service. The types of eligible teaching service and the method for obtaining recognition of related experience is outlined in Section 3.4 of the Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement. If a teacher improves qualifications, it is the teacher's responsibility to provide documentation and submit a written request for reclassification to the teacher's employing school board. |
